Privacy Policy

Information we collect

When you request a quote, we collect your name, email address and city or ZIP code. You may also provide a phone number, project details, a free mockup selection and a photo of the front of your home. If you contact us directly, we receive the information you share in that conversation.

Our hosting and form providers may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser or device information, referring page and request time to deliver the website, process forms and prevent abuse. Uploaded photos may contain embedded metadata, including location information, depending on your device settings.

How we use your information

We use your information to respond to inquiries, prepare quotes and requested mockups, discuss your lighting project, coordinate services, maintain related business records and protect the website against spam or misuse. Submitting a quote request does not enroll you in a marketing mailing list.

Home photos and generated mockups

Photo uploads are optional. Please provide only a photo you have permission to share, and avoid including people, license plates, private documents or other unnecessary personal details. You can remove location metadata before uploading.

We use submitted home photos to evaluate your project and prepare the mockup you request. The website does not automatically generate a mockup or send your photo to an AI image service. Before using a third-party AI service for your photo, we will explain the service and ask for your permission. We will ask separately before using a submitted photo or mockup in public marketing.

Service providers and sharing

Netlify hosts the website and processes and stores form submissions and uploaded files. Quote notifications are sent to our business email, so our email service also processes the information in those messages. These providers may process data outside your state or country. See Netlify’s Privacy Statement for its practices.

Netlify provides direct links to uploaded files in submission records and notifications. Anyone who obtains a file link may be able to view that file; uploads are not a private document vault. Please do not upload sensitive documents.

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to meet legal obligations or protect rights and safety. We do not sell quote-form information or share it for targeted advertising.

Cookies and external services

Our current website does not include advertising pixels or a separate visitor analytics tracker. Hosting providers may use technical logs or security technologies to operate the site. We load fonts from Google Fonts; your browser contacts Google to retrieve them, which shares technical request information such as your IP address. See Google’s Privacy Policy. Links to other websites are governed by those sites’ policies.

Retention and security

We retain inquiry and project information for as long as reasonably needed to handle your request, provide services, maintain necessary business records and meet legal obligations or resolve disputes. Retention depends on whether an inquiry becomes a customer project. Provider backups and cached files may take additional time to expire after deletion.

We use the hosting platform’s security features and limit access to information to people and providers who need it for these purposes. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices

You may choose not to submit the form or upload a photo and contact us directly instead. To request access to, correction of or deletion of information you provided, email info@stricklandlighting.com. We may need to verify your identity and may retain records where legally required or necessary for an ongoing service or dispute. Additional privacy rights may apply depending on where you live.

Children’s privacy

Our services are intended for adults arranging lighting services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Please contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information so we can address it.

Updates and contact

We may update this policy when our services or data practices change. The effective date above identifies the latest version.
